MoveWorth is a free tool run by an independent developer based in the Netherlands. This page explains what personal data the tool processes and why. It is written in plain language on purpose. Questions or requests: use the contact form.
What we collect and why
- Simulation inputs (salaries, spending, cities) — used to run your simulation and generate your report. Legal basis: performance of the service you requested. Saved only if you choose to save a run or create a share link.
- Account email & password (only if you sign up) — to let you save and revisit your runs. Handled by Supabase. Legal basis: the account you requested.
- Newsletter email (only if you submit the form) — to send you city/salary updates. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe any time via the contact form.
- Anonymous usage analytics — aggregate stats about how the tool is used. We run analytics in cookieless mode: nothing is stored on your device, and you are not tracked across sites. Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the tool.
The AI report
To generate your written report, the numbers and any text you enter are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models and retains them only briefly. Please don't paste sensitive personal information into the input fields.
Who processes your data
We use a small set of trusted providers as processors: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database & accounts), PostHog (EU-hosted analytics), and Anthropic (the AI report). Where a provider is outside the EEA, transfers are covered by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Share links
A scenario only becomes public if you create a share link for it. Anyone with that link can see the figures in it, so don't share one you'd rather keep private.
Retention
Saved runs and accounts are kept until you delete them or ask us to. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Use the contact form to have your account, saved runs, or email removed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, use the contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
